I reached the destination a few minutes earlier so that I would not miss the bus.. Well, I was pretty shy since I was so alienated with my fellow CCA mates. I don't even know a single people there! Some of them knows each other and yeah, so they don't have to worry of becoming a poor loner.. It took around 20 to 25 minutes before the bus arrived. A senior there distributed our lunch( basically just some Japanese cuisine. Salmon and chicken and a durian jelly). I later realized that I wore differently from my fellow CCA mates. All of them wore yellow t-shirt accompanied with blue jeans while I wore a three-quarter pants. I was mortified and desperate to change into jeans. I called my mom and later called my uncle to asked for an extra jeans! My jovial uncle explained to me that I am just volunteer there; it doesn't matter whether what pants I wore. He even joked that I am special since I wore differently from the other people there!I thought the whole parade there will be only 15 volunteers. I was convinced by the fact that RJC students(wearing the same yellow "uniform") were there waiting for the same bus. Dad called me and further convinced me that there are many people wearing the same yellow "uniform" as us at the parade. Oh wow WOW!Why do I have to worry so much? Come on! I don't have to worry about what colour shoes I put on my feet and neither do I have to worry about I pants I wear! I know a new friend there who initiate a chat with me at the CC. If not for him, I will have to be alone for the whole day. I can't exactly remember his name, Chang Seng or something. We get the ice breaker done when we started chatting in the shutter bus.
There was a drizzle a few minutes after we reached there. There were indeed MANY people. I bet it's the free food and drinks at the parade that drew visitors to the attention. Because of the drizzle, we'll have to stay under the void-deck( blk 175C). We sat down in a circle and wait for the rain to stop. Chang seng told me that his friend would be coming and was late because she had overslept. His friend could not find the venue and was desperately in search of it.

Around 3 p.m. , the rain had finally ceased. The in-charge there distributed us into two teams (basically RJC students team and NYP students team) to take charge of the food stalls and Fish-Catching stalls. Sadly we were chose to guard the Fish-catching stall. It was a damn tiring and boring job.His friend came around 5 minutes after we were at the respective stall. He introduced his friend as Pei Ling and yeah we started chatting about stuffs. She was a Chinese, 18 years old and standing at 5"3 tall.
We've to stand there for hours on end, and supervised the children swinging with their fishing net inside the pool for the guppies. I felt so dead. X_X The crowd was extremely big and it was really difficult to guard each and everyone! For hours, we( Chang Seng, Pei Ling and me) walked aimlessly around the blocks. The few hours - we'd our lucky draws coupons dropped into the box and had our chicken rice under the void deck, chatting for hours and slacked in the crowd. We've not done anything as a part of an usher.
We were only just loitering around aimlessly and chatting about nil. Except for Chang Seng, both me and Pei Ling did not do anything. We just watched our fellow friend doing the air pumping job.Evening clouds drifted across the golden sky, and soon it was 7 O'clock. The smelly and crowded atmosphere made Pei Ling sick. Chang Seng reported to our i/c, Aaron, and we were allowed to bring her to the nearest MRT (Meridian station) Pei Ling later decided to change into bus as she don't want to suffer long hours inside a train. She stayed at Woodlands and if consider taking off at Meridian Station; at least an hour or two she'll not reach her home. So we ambulated the streets of Punggol just to seek for her bus 85. We did find it - after walking ONE BIG ROUND and later realized that we could just walk straight up from the place we set off instead of crossing an overhead bridge and walked unnecessary roads. lol.
Chang Seng received a call from i/c and the i/c wanted us to go back as the shutter bus was approaching. We rushed back. Poor Chang Seng complaint that his leg was going to break, but well, we've no choice. We reached there just in time someone requested to take group photos. After the shot, everyone went back home.WELL, WHAT I WANT TO SAY IS, I WILL NEVER EVER PARTICIPATE ANY OF THESE PARADES OR WHATEVER SHIT RELATING TO AN USHER. I have terrible experiences. Yet, there's only one horrible CCA point awarded. Terrible, horrible, vegetables!!
